Woodlandia

While working from during the Covid-19 crisis, I saw a message on our neighborhood forums about a large bee presence just a few blocks down the street.  Usually this is yellow jackets or just a particularly tasty garden… but not this time!

Added this robust but gentle swarm to my apiary that day on the first try (though I did have to swing back by as stragglers and scouts accumulated on the spot). They are currently happily buzzing away in their new home.  Hope to add their honey to our harvest next year!

Dear Community

It is with deep regrets and sadness that I must announce there will be no honey harvest this year. The usual challenges of beekeeping, coupled with the increasingly erratic climate since Winter have been really hard on the hives this year and there will not be a harvest-able surplus. Thank you for all your support in the past, we hope to be able to bounce back next season.
